MCE Membrane Filter

They are microporous films with a given pore size. The membranes retain particles or microorganisms that are larger than the pore size of the membrane itself. They act as a physical barrier, trapping such particles and keeping them on their surface. Membrane filters are widely used for laboratory, chemical and microbiological analyses.

Sterile membrane filters are widely used for colony counting, particle analysis, microscopy and sterility testing. Different membrane colors provide the best contrast for colonies and particles, making counting and identification easier and more reliable.
